Jozette Chack-On is a partner at Saxon, Gilmore, Carraway & Gibbons, P.A. concentrating her practice in the areas of corporate and business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, public, affordable and workforce housing, mixed finance real estate transaction, and infrastructure project development.  

Ms. Chack-On has significant experience in handling claims arising under various consumer protection statutes, including without limitation, the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 U.S.C.§1692 et seq. (“FDCPA”); the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act, Fla. Stat. §559.55 et seq. (“FCCPA”); the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15U.S.C §1681 et seq. (“FCRA”); the Federal Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, 12 U.S.C §2601 et seq. (“RESPA); and, the Federal Truth In Lending Act, 15U.S.C §1601 et seq. (“TILA”).

She earned her B.S. degree with honors in Multinational Business Operations and Marketing from Florida State University in 1994, and was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, Beta Gamma Sigma, and Golden Key.  Ms. Chack-On earned her J.D. degree with high honors from the Florida State University College of Law in 1997 and was a member of Phi Delta Phi.

Ms. Chack-On is a member of the American Bar Association (Forum of Affordable Housing and Community Development Law), Hillsborough County Bar and the Florida Bar, Florida Housing Coalition and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay, Inc. (Executive Board and Board of Directors, 2004-2007).
