Saxon Gilmore filed a case in the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division on behalf of the plaintiff. The plaintiff sued the defendant for consumer violations for attempting to collect a debt which Plaintiff didn't owe.

The complaint in the above-styled case alleged violations of the 15 U.S.C.  1692 et seq., the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (the FDCPA), and against the defendants for consumer rights violations pursuant to Florida Statutes  559.72 et seq., the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act (the FCCPA).
